Following its nomination as a Midlands regional finalist and International Exchange visit to Dubai, C Brandauer & Co Ltd has been declared a regional winner in the HSBC Global Connections initiative.
Celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, Brandauer & Co Ltd is a fifth generation family-owned business that is flying the flag for UK manufacturing.
The company is a world-class manufacturer of precision stamped components to exacting requirements, exporting 75% of what it produces to China, India, the USA and the Middle East.
Supplying a diverse range of markets from electronics and telecoms to the medical, automotive, renewable and mil-aero sectors, Brandauer specialises in the development and manufacture of innovative component solutions in difficult materials.
Our unique selling point is that we always take on the impossible, says Sales & Marketing Director Rowan Crozier. Thats why customers come to us. They present a handful of prototype parts and ask us to develop a process to produce 100 million of them a year we thrive on challenges like that.
From making pen nibs when the company first started to producing components for fuel cells that will provide the power generation of the future, its been quite a journey for Brandauer and one that was rewarded when the company was selected as a regional winner in the HSBC Global Connections initiative.
I am surprised and very proud. Winning this award is down to the hard work of the entire Brandauer team. Were constantly punching above our weight and there were some real heavyweights around us last night, all worthy contestants, says Crozier.
For us to win this on the back of our 150th anniversary really is the icing on the cake and reflects the passion for UK manufacturing that everyone in the business has.
As a regional winner, Brandauer gains access to lending of up to £6bn and a financial reward of up to £120,000, funding that will provide a real boost.
Were always striving to take the business forward into the future and to win gives us a real springboard to progress our business plan, says Crozier.
Its exciting times ahead for Brandauer as it marks its 150th year of trading with the Global Connections Regional win and continues its push to be recognised internationally as a world-class independent high-precision metal component specialist.
The next five years are about strengthening our already dominant position in new technology markets, delivering increased sales and profitability through innovation and investment across the entire business. says Crozier.
